Back when I was still a student, I already enjoyed giving private lessons. I have always been passionate about teaching, seeing the sparkle in my pupil’s eye as they finally understand that one point they were still struggling with a few minutes ago.
Help with homework
Is your child having a difficult time staying on track at school? Are they drowning in homework you can’t always help them with? Do your work sessions tend to go wrong? Sometimes, external help makes a world of difference.
I see myself more as a big sister than a strict professor. Therefore, I build trust with my students to guide them gently. Thanks to a stable work schedule, they see their marks rise throughout the weeks and regain confidence in their own abilities. An hour or two of work per week is usually enough, as the objective is also to teach them how to gain in autonomy, for them to work on their own. My lessons take place at the student’s home.

Private lessons in translation
You are a translation student and you feel overwhelmed? You don’t understand what your professors are expecting from you, are they sometimes telling you you’re being too literal, and other times too detached from the source text? Private lessons might help you get a clearer picture. You would receive pieces of advice tailored to fit your specific situation, along with a more comprehensive analysis of the problems found in your translations.
